Supporting disadvanted children from a small fishing community in The Gambia to access basic primary education at Aunty Dorricing's International School
This will enable children to achieve a better start in life by helping them to escape the poverty trap.
A.D.I Funds 4 School was formed as a charity in 2012 and registered with the charity commission in March 2014.
The Gambia has a basic education system and families must bear some of the costs. There are insufficient Government funded school places.
Aunty Dorricing's International School, was created in 2009 in a small room overseen by the present Principal Alex Mensah before moving to a partially completed larger building.
There was no electricity or running water and very basic toilet facilities comprising of a hole in the ground surrounded by corrugated sheets.
You can Sponsor a Gambian child ensuring they can attend primary school for £70, that's the equivalent of £1.35 per week. That will provide:
